Workshop Supervisor

GHM is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our truck workshop operations. We are looking for a hands-on leader with extensive technical expertise, strong people management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining the highest health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, lead and mentor a team of workshop technicians.
• Plan, allocate and monitor daily workshop activities to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and KPI evaluations.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to manufacturer and company standards.
• Drive compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and workshop policies.
• Monitor workshop productivity, quality, turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical support and guidance on diagnostics, fault finding and complex repairs.
• Ensure workshop equipment, tools and facilities are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
• Coach and develop technicians to improve technical competency and performance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade Test (Red Seal) .
• Minimum 8 years' experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks.
• At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or workshop leadership role.
• Proven experience managing workshop operations and leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of truck diagnostics, maintenance planning and workshop best practices.
• Experience conducting KPI evaluations and performance management.
• Sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence.
