SUMMARY: POSITION INFO: Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is looking for a skilled and dependable Trade Tested Welder \/ Boilermaker to join their Power Station maintenance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on artisan with strong fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing environment who takes pride in producing quality work while maintaining high safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform ARC, MIG and TIG welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication work. Carry out maintenance welding, repairs and general steel fabrication. Repair and maintain machinery, structures, guards, frames and plant equipment. Assist with preventative maintenance, shutdowns and breakdown repairs. Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements accurately. Use welding, cutting and shaping techniques to manufacture and repair metal components. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations. Minimum Requirements Trade Tested Welder or Boilermaker. Coded Welder certification will be advantageous. Proven experience with ARC, MIG and TIG welding. Solid welding and fabrication experience within a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements. Experience performing maintenance welding, repairs and fabrication on plant equipment. Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Reliable, disciplined and able to work effectively within a maintenance team.
