Job description
Why do we need you?
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of both the Finished goods, Local and Imported merchandise and Raw Materials warehouse.
- Ensure that high degree of customer service is maintained, through speed, accuracy and quality of the loading function.
- Stock takes and cycle counts as required by the Business
- Ensure ICRF Business Governance rules are adhered to
- Ensure that the department obey general Factory regulations
- Ensure that the department obey company EHS regulations and observe safety precautions as laid down in the applicable legislation.
- Ensure Raw Materials are off loaded and stored according to Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ensure Service Failures are prevented by using the SFA management system
- Ensure adherence to ISO management and best practices
- Daily planning and co-ordinates Transport requirements.
- Management of both the Finished goods, Local and imported merchandise and Raw Material Warehouse
- Constantly investigating and striving to find methods of improving customer service and warehouse operating efficiencies
- Ensure all blocked stock reports are send and followed up on. Ensure business targets are met to reduce blocked stock values
- Ensure scrapping processes are followed as per Business procedures
- Ensure minimisation of waste of dry waste occurs so as not to impact Plant Net Saleable Yield numbers
Is this job for you?
The ideal candidate must have a completed Matric and must have a Degree in Transport/Logistics or Supply Chain. This role calls for a person who possess at least five to seven years’ experience in a warehousing or logistics environment with two years of experience in a warehouse environment, candidate must have good communication skills and have an overall good attitude. This candidate must be computer literate in MS Office, experience on SAP as this role will requirement someone who is fully proficient on this ERP. The ideal candidate should have strong awareness of ISO international standards and systems, with proactive management activities such as WCM.
To make sure nothing is forgotten
The primary task will be to assume warehouse/logistics/Planning//Raw Materials activities on site, and to lead the Warehouse team to deliver excellent Customer Service, inbound and outbound logistics targets and production planning to move the operation into the world class manufacturing arena. The output to be delivered is Customer Service on time and in full whilst ensuring EHS rules and regulations are followed within budget constraints.
