TRUCK SITE TECHNICIAN

GHM is looking for an experienced Truck Site Technician to provide on-site maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks. If you enjoy working in the field, solving technical challenges and delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site diagnostics, servicing and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown support at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete service reports and job cards accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer site requirements.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and service vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade Test (Red Seal) .
• Minimum 5 years' experience working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Proven experience performing field service or site maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Western Cape and surrounding areas, with occasional travel outside the province if required.
• Valid driver's licence (Code 10 or Code 14 will be advantageous).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
