Stockroom Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the store's department, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods.
• Responsible for stock verification and investigation of all variances as well as conducting physical inventory counts and reconciliations in line with company standards
• Coordinate with Fleet Department to ensure efficient and timely deliveries of goods.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure all goods received are of the correct quality and quantity and in compliance with company standards and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Matric Qualification
• Able to work night shift is essential.
• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computerised inventory management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Monitoring the stock is part of your daily responsibilities, ensuring that stock on the system truly reflects the physical stocks onsite.
• Computer literacy

• Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High School (matric) (Preferred)

Experience:

• Stock room: 2 years (Preferred)
