Specialist: Finance

The Specialist: Finance is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation, consolidation, and reporting of financial information for BMW Group South Africa. The role supports internal and external stakeholders by providing financial reporting and analysis in accordance with IFRS, BMW Group standards, and statutory requirements, enabling effective financial steering and decision‑making.

What awaits you?

• Prepare and report monthly/quarterly/annual Income Statement and Balance Sheet results to BMW AG.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, group accounting policies, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit financial reporting to regulatory authorities (SARB, Statistics South Africa).
• Prepare monthly management accounts and MBM reporting.
• Prepare Board presentations for statutory meetings.
• Coordinate reporting cycles for monthly close, forecast, budget, and long‑range planning.
• Prepare statutory annual financial statements.
• Responsible of BBBEE Reporting (statutory requirement).
• Coordinate external audits and manage day‑to‑day audit activities and queries.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analyses and reporting to support management decision‑making.
• Maintain reporting processes, controls, and documentation; drive continuous process and system improvements.
• Treasury and Cashflow reporting.

What should you bring along?

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)).
• 1 to 3 years of post-articles experience.
• Solid knowledge of audit reporting consolidations, and IFRS.
