Job description

Vacancy: Solar Electrician (Commercial & Residential)

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

GX Energy is looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of solar power installations and proven experience in both commercial and residential projects.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified Electrician with relevant qualifications.
Valid Wireman's Licence (where applicable).
Proven experience with solar, battery, and inverter installations.
Experience with both commercial and residential electrical installations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Sound knowledge of SANS 10142 and relevant electrical safety regulations.
Valid South African driver's licence.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
Must be fluent in Afrikaans, both spoken and written.

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and commission solar power systems.
Install solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, and related equipment.
Perform fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on existing systems.
Ensure all installations comply with applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide professional customer service and clear communication on project sites.
Complete installations within the required timeframes while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
