Site Foreman-Supervisor - Fuel Industry

The Position requires a well-groomed person with experience and knowledge in construction - site/ maintenance and you must have a high-quality standard on finishing detail, and you must be able to meet and exceed deadlines to work service level agreements.

You must be enthusiastic and organized, energetic work with well command to oversee all aspects of building projects/maintenance work.

Imperative – that you have past experience with a proven track record in steel structures and WAH including general maintenance work on a fuel retail sites, Health & Safety is our key factor to ensure safe working procedures.

Your key responsibilities include the following:

1. Managing and overseeing your work team to ensure the work neatly and carry out the work tasks as intended, HSSE is Key to ensuring compliance in our working environment.

2. WAH – Scaffold erection and Safe work procedures

3. Know how to repair steel structures and roofing, re-sheeting incl. their associated parts to ensure a secure and water-tight structure.

4. Computer literacy and knowledge essential and admin is a big part of your role.

5. PTW – permit to work system.

6. Risk assessments and JHA incl. method statements to compile and ensure staff work to standard.

7. Ensure your tools and maintained/recorded and kept in good health to ensure compliance.

8. You will be required to place orders in time for material required for site work and intended tasks. – wastage to be controlled and kept to a minimum.

9. Good Communication skills essential and well presented.

10. Must have knowledge and experience in power-tools and small plant – you will be tested.

11. Carpentry , tiling, wet works and general building work required – incl. finishing detail required.

12. You must be able to demonstrate and contral all aspects of Health and Safety to ensure your Site Safety file is kept uptoo date and compliant with the Osh Act.

13. You need to be a “MASTER OF TRADES” A GOOD ARTISAN

14. Reporting/ admin and processing site safety docs is required timeiously for close out on all work to meet and exceed the SLA.

• Managing and motivating you work team to get best results and ensure they work according to Health & Safety Rules - ZERO TOLARANCE for non-compliance.

General maintenance activities included but not limited to the following:

• WAH – Steel structures assembly and repairs incl. building structure & roof sheeting, flashings, repairs to steel structures and gutter systems, painting and waterproofing
• Building repairs, drainage systems, sanitaryware and plumbing, doors and cabinets, forecourt work includes paving, kerbstones, setting out and correcting levels, retaining walls, concrete works, foundations etc.
• Scaffolding – WAH experience a must.
• A valid drivers licence with no restrictions/demerits.
• Ensuring attendance and Safety file is kept up-to-date.
• Sourcing material & ensuring suppliers submit quotes in time.
• Ensuring SLA 's are met and exceeded for work to be carried out.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, and all other regulations.
• All project related administration, including but not limited to site diaries, time documents and purchase documents, safety files and all check lists.

Construction Foreman Requirements:

• 7+ years of construction site management/foreman experience - RETAIL
• Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff/suppliers and client.
• Skilled and Competent to use a computer - Microsoft office, must know how to read drawings.
• Outstanding Trouble shooting and fault-finding ability to assess calls logged onsite are correctly repaired.

Pay: R12 000,00 - R22 000,00 per month
