SHERQ CO-ORDINATOR

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SHERQ Co-ordinator to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s SHEQ management systems within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (OHSA, environmental regulations, etc.)
• Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits within the warehouse
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and compile detailed reports
• Drive corrective and preventative actions to mitigate risks
• Facilitate SHEQ training and awareness programs for employees
• Maintain SHEQ documentation, registers, and records
• Monitor waste management, environmental impact, and housekeeping standards
• Support internal and external audits
• Liaise with management, employees, and regulatory bodies on SHEQ matters

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Safety Management / Environmental Health / Quality Management or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a SHEQ role within awarehouse or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Incident investigation and risk assessment experience
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Strong administrative and reporting skills
