SEO Executive

Go Up is a specialist SEO, AI SEO and PR agency with offices in London (HQ), Los Angeles, and South Africa. We are looking for a capable, self-motivated SEO Executive to join our growing Cape Town team, working across an international client portfolio with clients primarily in the UK, Europe and the USA.

This is a hands-on execution role for someone with solid SEO experience who wants to develop within an international agency environment. You will work closely with our Cape Town-based SEO Account Manager and our UK-based Head of SEO Strategy, contributing directly to client campaigns. You will also liaise regularly with our UK link building and PR, content and UX teams, and will occasionally join client calls and produce reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SEO Delivery

Execute SEO and AI SEO tasks across a portfolio of client accounts, with clients primarily in the UK, Europe and the USA. Support Account Managers (Cape Town and UK-based) with campaign delivery. Carry out on-page optimisation, keyword research and technical audits. Monitor performance using Ahrefs, Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Contribute to monthly client reports. Ensure all work meets Go Up's white hat standards at all times.

Client and Team Liaison

Occasionally join client calls and Google Meets. Liaise directly with the UK link building and PR team. Work with the UK content team on SEO-led content. Collaborate with the UK UX team on on-page and technical recommendations.

Learning and Development

Learn and apply Go Up's proprietary SEO processes and workflows. Stay current with search engine developments and AI search trends.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential: Minimum 2 years experience in an agency environment (non-negotiable). Proven SEO experience with a track record of contributing to campaigns. Strong knowledge of Ahrefs, Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO and keyword research. Familiarity with AI SEO. White hat SEO only. Native or native-equivalent written and spoken English. Organised, proactive and comfortable working remotely.

Desirable: Experience producing client-facing reports. Exposure to link building, content marketing or technical SEO projects.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

R300,000 to R360,000 per annum. 26 days paid holiday per year. 50% co-pay on private health insurance. Local gym membership. Fully remote.
