Senior Corporate Travel Consultant

Factory 209 (Pty) Ltd, owned by Stellenbosch University, is launching Factory 209 – Travel Services. We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Travel Consultant to become the founding employee of our new corporate travel division.

This is far more than a traditional travel consultant role.

You’ll help establish our travel operation, develop processes, build supplier relationships and deliver exceptional travel management services to the Stellenbosch University community.

Some duties and responsibilities are as follow:

• Manage domestic and international corporate travel bookings;
• Arrange flights, accommodation, vehicle rentals, transfers and travel insurance;
• Book and issue tickets using Amadeus GDS;
• Process amendments, refunds and cancellations;
• Interpret fare rules and optimise travel routes;
• Maintain traveller profiles;
• Provide professional travel advice and exceptional customer service;
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders;
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and procurement requirements;
• Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); and but not limited to
• Contribute to the future growth of Factory 209 Travel Services.

Requirements

• Matric/ Grade 12 (Essential);
• Relevant qualification in Travel, Tourism or Business Administration (Essential);
• Amadeus GDS Ticketing Certification (Essential – Non- Negotiable) ;
• Minimum 5 years’ travel agency experience. (Essential);
• Corporate travel consulting experience;
• Strong ticketing and fare construction knowledge;
• Experience with refunds, reissues and complex itineraries;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong administrative ability;
• High attention to detail.
• Experience with Envoyage;
• Financial administration;
• Supplier relationship management;
• CRM systems;
• Knowledge of University travel environments (Advantageous)

License/Certification:

• Amadeus GDS Ticketing Certification (Required)
