Your day at NTT DATA
The Senior Total Rewards Specialist serves as an advanced subject matter expert responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing total rewards programs that support business objectives and enhance the employee experience. The role combines strategic, analytical, and consultative responsibilities to ensure the organizations compensation, benefits, and recognition offerings remain competitive, compliant, and effective.
Collaborating with HR teams and senior leaders, the Senior Total Rewards Specialist contributes to the design, communication, and implementation of innovative total rewards strategies that attract, motivate, and retain a talented workforce.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, administer, and maintain global compensation programs.
- Manage and advise on:
o Base pay structures
o Incentive and bonus plans
o Performance management programs
o Recognition programs (advantageous experience)
- Participate in compensation benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure market competitiveness.
- Analyze compensation trends and recommend program improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to HR and business leaders.
- Lead or contribute to compensation projects with global, strategic, and financial impact.
- Manage relationships with external compensation vendors and consultants.
- Present compensation analyses, findings, and recommendations to HR and senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with compensation-related legislation and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Provides back-up and/or assistance to other members of the Total Rewards team as required.
- Performs any other related task as required.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Advanced understanding of compensation, benefits, and performance management principles and their impact on employee engagement and retention.
- Advanced knowledge of compensation analysis methods, including market benchmarking and salary structure.
- Advanced understanding of performance management processes, goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Advanced understanding of data analysis concepts and tools, especially as applied to compensation, benefits, and performance metrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication to collaborate with team members, HR partners, and employees.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS platforms and payroll systems for data management and reporting.
- Abilit to handle sensitive compensation, benefits, and performance-related information.
- Dedication to providing responsive and helpful service to employees with questions about total rewards and performance matters.
- Advanced ability to conduct complex compensation analysis, benchmarking, and design competitive pay structures.
- Demonstrated ethical behavior and confidentiality when handling sensitive compensation, benefits, and performance data.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in the field of Human Resources, Business Administration or Finance preferred.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or a similar compensation certification advantageous.
Required experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant compensation experience
- Strong expertise in:
o Compensation program design and administration
o Job evaluation and salary benchmarking
o Incentive compensation modeling
o Market pricing and survey participation
o Data analysis and reporting
o Stakeholder management at senior leadership level
o Global compensation compliance
- Incentive plan modeling and design
- Employee recognition and reward programs
- Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed employee populations
- Exposure to global compensation frameworks and multinational organizations
