Senior ServiceNow Technical Developer / Consultant (Operational Health & Safety)
Hybrid - 3 days a week in office
Location - Rosebank
Level - Intermediate to Senior
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Technical Developer / Consultant with proven expertise in implementing, configuring, and customising the ServiceNow Operational Health and Safety (OHS) module.
The successful candidate will play a key role in digitising and automating Occupational Health and Safety processes, delivering scalable ServiceNow solutions that improve compliance, governance, and operational efficiency. This role focuses on designing and implementing digital workflows for workplace inspections, audits, contractor safety management, and document approval processes while ensuring an exceptional user experience and robust automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, develop, and implement ServiceNow Operational Health and Safety (OHS) capabilities.
- Design and automate workplace inspection and audit management processes.
- Develop digital inspection checklists, registers, appointment letters, and certificate management workflows.
- Implement automated approval workflows, notifications, and compliance processes.
- Design and develop contractor-facing portals for safety file submission, review, and approval.
- Develop and configure forms, catalog items, workflows, Flow Designer solutions, and business rules within ServiceNow.
- Integrate ServiceNow with relevant enterprise systems where required.
- Support testing, deployment, and production implementation activities.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to stakeholders and support teams.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate Occupational Health & Safety requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a ServiceNow Technical Developer or ServiceNow Consultant.
- Strong ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration experience.
- Proven implementation experience with the ServiceNow Operational Health and Safety (OHS) module.
- Experience developing and configuring:
- Workplace inspection workflows
- Audit management processes
- Digital checklists and registers
- Appointment letter workflows
- Certificate management solutions
- Strong experience with:
- Flow Designer
- Business Rules
- Client Scripts
- UI Policies
- Script Includes
- IntegrationHub
- Strong JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience with Service Catalog and Service Portal development.
- Experience designing and implementing document approval workflows.
- Experience developing secure contractor-facing portals.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and business analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive technical delivery in a complex environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise applications and platforms.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation, compliance processes, and contractor management practices.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments.
- Exposure to ITSM, GRC, or other ServiceNow product suites.
- Experience leading technical workshops and solution design sessions.
Qualifications
- Relevant Degree, Diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Additional ServiceNow certifications would be advantageous.
