Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Red Seal Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This senior position requires someone with strong technical expertise, proven leadership in a workshop environment, and the ability to deliver high quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and carry out repairs and maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of our equipment.
- Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct and manage Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), ensuring all equipment meets company standards before delivery.
- Support delivery processes, including on-site operational training, testing, and equipment handovers when required.
- Manage workshop scheduling, job allocation, and vehicle maintenance to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, stock movements, and workshop activities.
- Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support to clients and collaborate with the Sales team on customer requirements.
- Support the improvement of workshop systems and procedures.
Requirements:
- Red Seal qualified Diesel Mechanic (Required)
- Minimum 5 years hands on diesel mechanic experience prior to Red Seal Qualification.
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable own transport.
