Job description

Role PurposeLead the design and deployment of advanced machine learning models to optimise pricing, demand forecasting, and customer behaviour prediction. Provide scientific leadership in embedding AI into retail operations.Key Responsibilities

Develop predictive and prescriptive models for pricing elasticity, demand, and churn.
Lead experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, uplift modelling).
Deploy and monitor ML models in production environments.
Translate business challenges into mathematical optimisation problems.
Drive innovation in applied sciences and mentor data science teams.
Partner with commercial leaders to embed AI into pricing and promotions.

Must‑Have Requirements

12–15+ years in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
Deep expertise in applied mathematics, optimisation, and statistical modelling.
Retail/FMCG domain experience essential.
Proficiency in Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud ML platforms.
Demonstrated success in productionising models at scale.
Strong leadership and mentoring capability.

Qualifications

Master’s/PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
Certifications in AI/ML and cloud analytics highly desirable.
