Senior B-BBEE Verification Analyst

Personal Profile

This role involves verifying the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Status of small, medium, and large companies, including JSE-listed and multinational organizations.

Scope of Work

As a Senior Verification Analyst, you will:

• Perform B-BBEE verifications in accordance with the DTI’s B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, sector codes, and the company’s verification methodology.
• Lead client kick-off meetings independently and foster client relationships.
• Interpret, verify, and effectively communicate all elements of the B-BBEE scorecard, excluding complex ownership structures.
• Prepare comprehensive and high-quality verification files and finalize results.
• Present findings to client teams of up to 8 people.
• Address objections, manage challenging questions, and navigate conflict situations.
• Provide expert responses to client inquiries regarding B-BBEE verification and implementation issues.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• B. Com Accounting, B. Com Accounting Honours, or articles with an accounting firm (small or large).
• Financial Degree/Diploma.
• B. Com Internal Auditing.
• Legal Degree/Diploma.

Experience

• A minimum of 2+ years of B-BBEE Verification Experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
• Proven experience in client-facing roles with excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R25 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
