Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced, honest and trustworthy Senior Accountant to join our team and work across our group of companies.

We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, has strong attention to detail and understands the full accounting function up to Trial Balance and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant
• Proficient in Pastel and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
• Able to manage accounts up to Trial Balance
• Experience with financial statements and reporting
• Experience with auditing and reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE and other statutory requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Honest, reliable and trustworthy
• Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Experience working within a group of companies will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting functions
• Capture and process accounting transactions
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Debtors and creditors management
• Monthly processing and reporting
• Prepare and maintain Trial Balances
• Assist with preparation of financial statements
• VAT, PAYE and statutory submissions
• Cash flow management and monitoring
• Stock and financial reconciliations
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
• Analyse financial information and identify discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Work closely with management across the group of companies

Pay: R18 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
