About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, disciplined, and experienced Sector Manager to oversee security operations within an allocated area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, managing personnel, enforcing company policies, conducting inspections and investigations, and ensuring compliance with all operational standards.
This position requires a hands-on leader who is committed to delivering exceptional security services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Conduct regular site visits to all allocated sites during every shift.
- Ensure all security officers comply with company procedures, client requirements, and operational standards.
- Perform site inductions for relief officers where applicable.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and complete all required documentation.
- Ensure all incidents are responded to promptly and investigated thoroughly.
- Compile accurate, comprehensive incident reports within required SLA timeframes.
- Monitor service delivery and implement corrective actions where required.
Client Relations
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Conduct regular client visits and obtain feedback on service delivery.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Staff Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, motivate, and develop security personnel.
- Enforce discipline fairly and consistently.
- Conduct staff inspections, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Identify training needs and ensure employees receive the necessary development.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
Compliance and Quality Control
- Ensure all officers are correctly dressed in full company uniform.
- Conduct inspections of firearms, radios, vehicles, and site equipment.
- Ensure only trained and competent officers perform armed duties.
- Monitor compliance with handover procedures and company policies.
- Maintain accurate operational records and audit documentation.
Incident Management
- Respond to emergency incidents promptly.
- Secure incident scenes and ensure evidence is preserved.
- Conduct thorough investigations.
- Compile factual, detailed, and professional incident reports.
- Ensure recommendations are practical and preventative measures are implemented.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Grade A PSIRA Registration.
- Valid Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Sector Manager or in a similar security management role.
- Extensive knowledge of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) requirements.
- Strong knowledge of labour relations and disciplinary procedures.
- Excellent report writing and investigation skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and after-hours when required.
