Job description
We are an established property management company in Cape Town and are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Head Office on a full time basis.
The ideal candidate would have 2 years experience or more in a similar position or environment, with references. Experience in Sectional Title management would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing levy account mailbox by responding timeously and professionally to email queries
Raising adjustments on owners levy accounts as instructed by the Portfolio Managers
Collection of arrear levies through distribution of reminder and arrears notices and providing feedback to Portfolio Managers and Trustees
Circulating debtors reports to Portfolio Managers on a monthly basis and requesting feedback
Diarising debt collection and legal activity by updating comments on debtors arrears reports
Processing of debt collection fees and commission on owners levy accounts
Assisting with the allocation of levy payment receipts on a daily basis, and as and when required
Coordinating levy run processes in finance department to ensure that all deadlines are met
Skills:
Knowledge of accounting principles
Familiar with the Debt Collectors Act
Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office with strong typing skills
Problem solving and decision making
Planning and organising
Attention to detail
Accuracy with figures
Good command of the English language
Sound interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
Stress and time management
Ability to work independently and within a team
