Job description
CCPP Group delivers technical production for corporate events, conferences, exhibitions and live productions. Clients come with an idea and a deadline. CCPP turns it into something that works on the day, on budget, and without drama.
The role in one line You win the work, and you stay with it. This is not a hunter who hands off, and it is not an account manager who inherits. You bring in new business, you own the client relationship, and you stay close enough through delivery that the client trusts you with the next one.
That combination is the job. If you have only ever done one half of it, this will be a stretch.
What you will actually do
- Win new business. Build and work your own pipeline through calls, LinkedIn, referrals, networking and industry events. Get in front of people, qualify properly on budget, timelines and who actually signs.
- Take the brief and price it. Ask the questions that surface what the client has not said. Build quotes with the technical and operations teams that are deliverable and profitable, not just competitive. Follow them through to won or lost.
- Negotiate without giving away margin. You will carry revenue and GP targets, and you will be trusted to protect both.
- Hand over cleanly. Confirmed work goes to Project Managers, Technical Heads and Operations with the client's expectations intact. You stay involved where it matters.
- Keep the relationship. Follow up after events, gather feedback, find the upsell, and turn one project into an account. Handle the awkward conversations quickly and yourself.
- Run your own numbers. CRM discipline, accurate pipeline reporting, and clean job cards. If your forecast is not credible, nothing else works.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Minimum 2 years' sales experience in events, technical production, AV, staging or a related services business.
- Experience using CRM systems, Flex or similar event/project software.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- Proven experience in prospecting, building client relationships and closing sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication – quotes, briefs and emails are crisp and unambiguous.
- Confidence working with targets, quotes and margins.
Advantageous Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Events or Hospitality.
Benefits
- Market-related salary.
- Performance-based commission / incentive structure linked to revenue and GP.
- Cellphone & data allowance
- Travel & site allowance per company policy
- Opportunity to work in the creative, fast-moving events and production industry.
- Exposure to a wide range of corporate events, live productions and client experiences.
- Supportive team environment with technical and operational expertise around you.
