Sales Engineer

S4 Integration is seeking a driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our growing Automation Division. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys combining engineering knowledge with consultative sales to deliver innovative automation solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency.

As a Sales Engineer, you will identify new business opportunities, develop long-term customer relationships, and provide technical guidance to clients across a wide range of industries. Working closely with our engineering and project teams, you will help customers identify opportunities to improve productivity through automation, special-purpose machinery, robotics, material handling systems, and turnkey engineering solutions.

Success in this role requires a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to understand manufacturing challenges and translate them into practical engineering solutions

Responsibility:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Consult with customers to understand their manufacturing processes, operational challenges, and production objectives.
• Recommend suitable automation and engineering solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical presentations.
• Work closely with internal engineering, design, and project teams to develop tailored solutions.
• Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to project handover.
• Conduct customer visits, site assessments, and technical discussions.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records.
• Represent S4 Integration professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.

Basic Qualification:

• Proven sales or business development experience within an industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, or capital equipment environment.
• A Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Industrial, or related Engineering Diploma or Degree would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial production environments.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Commercially driven with strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Valid driver's licence is essential.
