Residential Registered Nurse

The Role This is a permanent part-time position working at Wearne Home in Mandurah working 36.25 hours per fortnight. Please view the below roster.

Week 1 Wednesday: 1500 - 2215

Thursday: 1500 - 2215

Week 2 Monday: 1500 - 2215

Tuesday: 1500 – 2215

Wednesday: 1500 - 2215

Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive reviews of residents through clinical assessments
• Safely administer medication to residents
• Falls management and prevention
• Complete documentation for residents ensuring accurate care planning and relevant supporting documents
• Supervise the delivery of care plans on a daily basis
• Providing ongoing coaching, mentoring to the care staff
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety in accordance with Aged Care Standards and Risk Management

What You’ll Have The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, which are crucial for excelling in this role. A genuine passion for supporting older people and collaborating with the wider team is essential. As a clinical leader, you will leverage your clinical expertise to guide the team towards achieving outstanding care outcomes. Your alignment with the Quality of Care Principles will enable you to effectively support, educate, and mentor your team, ensuring high standards of care and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Evidence of Current Flu vaccination per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
• Knowledge of the resident classification scale, accreditation and continuous improvement
• Willingness to attend 2 days paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
