Job description

Tech Support Squad is looking for an experienced B2B cold caller / Sales Development Representative based in South Africa to help us generate new opportunities with UK businesses.

We are a UK-based Managed IT Support and Cyber Security company working with small and growing businesses. We provide managed IT support, Microsoft 365 support, cyber security, backup, cloud services, and business technology support.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, experienced in B2B cold calling, and comfortable generating their own leads as well as following up on provided prospects.

Role Details

Location: Remote — South Africa based
Hours: UK business hours
Salary: R20,000–R25,000 per month basic
OTE: R35,000–R50,000+ per month for strong performance
Bonus: Paid for qualified meetings that attend and new clients that sign up
Start: As soon as possible

A higher basic salary may be considered for candidates with proven UK B2B, IT, telecoms, cyber security, or MSP sales experience.

About the Role

Your main responsibility will be to create new business opportunities for our sales team.

You will be expected to research suitable UK businesses, make outbound calls, identify decision makers, qualify potential opportunities, and book discovery meetings where appropriate.

You will not be expected to close sales. The sales team will handle the full sales process after the initial meeting is booked.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Making outbound cold calls to UK businesses
  • Researching and building targeted lead lists
  • Identifying decision makers within suitable businesses
  • Speaking with business owners, directors, office managers, and senior decision makers
  • Qualifying prospects based on their IT support, cyber security, Microsoft 365, or managed service needs
  • Booking qualified discovery meetings for the sales team
  • Following up by email and LinkedIn where appropriate
  • Keeping accurate records of calls, notes, follow-ups, and outcomes
  • Updating the CRM clearly and consistently
  • Following approved scripts, call frameworks, and sales processes
  • Taking part in training on MSP sales tactics and the Tech Support Squad offering

Experience Required

You must have:

  • At least 5 years’ cold calling, appointment setting, outbound sales, or SDR experience
  • Strong spoken English
  • Confidence speaking to UK business decision makers
  • Good written English for email and LinkedIn follow-up
  • Experience generating your own leads
  • Strong organisation and follow-up skills
  • A reliable internet connection and suitable remote working setup
  • A professional, confident, and resilient attitude

Preferred Experience

The following would be a strong advantage:

  • Experience selling to UK businesses
  • Previous MSP, IT support, telecoms, cyber security, SaaS, or technology sales experience
  • Experience booking meetings for managed services, IT support, or professional services
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Experience using LinkedIn for prospecting
  • Understanding of small business decision makers

Bonus Structure

In addition to your basic salary, bonuses will be available for:

  • Qualified meetings booked that attend
  • Meetings that become genuine sales opportunities
  • New managed IT clients that sign up
  • Larger clients that sign up
  • Break/fix clients that convert to managed service

Bonuses are paid on quality, not just activity. A meeting must be with a suitable UK business and must actually attend to qualify for meeting bonus.
