Recruitment Consultant

CHALC Consultants is a specialist international recruitment business partnering with some of the world's leading hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, technology companies, and quantitative investment firms.

We are looking for an ambitious, driven, and people-oriented individual to join our team in Plettenberg Bay. This role combines recruitment, market research and talent intelligence. You will work directly with senior consultants and company leadership to identify exceptional technology professionals across global markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, is naturally curious, commercially minded, and wants to build a long-term career in recruitment, sales, or executive search.

The role is office-based in Plettenberg Bay and requires somebody who is proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable engaging with people over the phone, email, and LinkedIn.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage high-quality technology professionals through LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and direct outreach
• Conduct outbound phone calls, LinkedIn outreach, and email campaigns
• Build relationships with prospective candidates and assess their suitability for opportunities
• Perform market mapping and competitor research across the technology and financial services sectors
• Gather market intelligence on companies, teams, hiring trends, and industry developments
• Maintain accurate candidate records and pipeline information
• Coordinate interviews and support recruitment processes from initial contact through to placement
• Work closely with senior consultants on retained and executive search assignments

• Previous experience in sales, recruitment, hospitality, customer service, retail, or another people-focused environment would be advantageous
• Based in Plettenberg Bay or the surrounding area and available to work from the office full-time
