We are seeking a qualified, goal-driven and self-motivated Quality Lead to join our multidisciplinary team.

Purpose of the Role

The Regional Quality Lead provides strategic and operational clinical leadership to improve the quality, safety, effectiveness and consistency of patient care across all dialysis modalities, including Chronic Haemodialysis (CHD), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Acute Dialysis services.

The role partners with the Operations Manager, Business Manager, Unit Leaders and multidisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and patient-centred care throughout the region.

The Regional Quality Lead is responsible for monitoring and improving regional clinical outcomes, supporting implementation of National Renal Care's Clinical Governance Framework, facilitating education and professional development, strengthening clinical capability, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and innovation.

The role provides expert clinical guidance, analyses quality indicators, supports improvement projects, manages regional quality risks, contributes to policy development and implementation, and ensures compliance with organisational policies, professional standards and legislative requirements.

The Regional Quality Lead contributes to National Renal Care's strategic objectives by improving patient outcomes, reducing unwarranted variation in care, supporting value-based healthcare initiatives, enhancing the patient experience and strengthening clinical governance across the organisation. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Nurse or Clinical Technologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or South African Nursing Council (SANC), as applicable.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Nephrology or Health Sciences a must.
  • Qualification in Quality Management, Clinical Governance or Healthcare Management will be advantageous.
  • Assessor, Moderator or Facilitator qualification advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum five years' renal clinical experience.
  • Minimum three years' experience in clinical leadership or quality management.
  • Demonstrated experience in dialysis quality improvement.
  • Experience analysing clinical quality indicators and performance data.
  • Experience facilitating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in policy implementation and clinical governance.
  • Experience conducting clinical audits and investigations.
  • Experience delivering education and clinical training.
  • Project management experience within healthcare.
  • Experience implementing evidence-based practice initiatives.
