Job Advert Summary
Oversee construction projects and ensure that all work carried out by contractors complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The successful candidate will act as the client's representative on site and monitor workmanship, materials, and progress.
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma or Certificate in Building, Civil , Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction inspection or site supervision.
Knowledge of construction standards, building regulations, and quality control procedures.
Strong reporting and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Registration with a relevant professional body ECSA
Primary Duties
Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Monitor contractor activities and report any defects or non-compliance.
Maintain detailed site records, inspection reports, and progress reports.
Verify quality of materials and workmanship on site.
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers.
Assist with site meetings and prepare inspection documentation.o

Relevant South African standards and regulations (e.g. SANS, API)
