Job Title: Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics Manager
Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Company Overview:
Ladurée is a renowned luxury Restaurant known for its exceptional pastries, macarons, and commitment to quality. As we expand our presence in South Africa, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics Manager to lead our procurement and logistics operations, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products while optimizing cost and efficiency.
Position Overview:
The Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, supply chain management, and logistics for Ladurée South Africa. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, specifically in sourcing locally manufactured and international goods, with a strong understanding of raw materials and perishable goods.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to source high-quality raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials, both locally and internationally.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and service levels.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in sourcing practices.
2. Supply Chain Optimization:
- Analyze and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize wastage, particularly with perishable goods.
- Implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
3. Logistics Coordination:
- Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of products to ensure timely delivery to retail locations and customers.
- Work closely with logistics providers to negotiate contracts and manage service levels.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable goods to maintain quality and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement logistics solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs, including the use of technology and automation.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Conduct regular training sessions on best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and supply chain performance to senior management.
- Conduct cost analysis and forecasting to inform budgeting and financial planning.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and logistics management, with a focus on the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in sourcing raw materials and perishable goods, with a strong understanding of food safety and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and supply chain management software.
- A proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions.
