Planner

Sportsmans Warehouse, part of the Holdsport Group, is a national sporting goods retail chain with stores across South Africa.

We are looking for an analytically strong and commercially minded individual to join our Footwear and Apparel team as a Planner, based at our Head Office in Cape Town CBD. This position reports directly to the Merchandise Executive.

• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently and make informed decisions
• Clear and professional communicator (written and verbal)
• Well-organised with the ability to prioritise and work at pace in a fast-moving retail environment

Key Responsibilities

• Stock planning and allocation
• Forecasting and analysis
• Systems and process management
• Liaising with store managers, warehouse teams, buying and merchandising teams
• Coordinating stock for promotions, seasonal campaigns and product launches

Requirements

• Matric (essential)
• BCom or an equivalent degree in business, supply chain management, retail management or a comparable numerate discipline (essential)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail planning, inventory management or merchandise planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning or inventory systems
• Experience with retail planning or ERP systems will be an advantage
