Job description

About the Role

The Parking Administrator will be responsible for managing and coordinating parking operations within a designated area or facility. This role focuses on ensuring efficient use of parking resources, customer satisfaction, and adherence to relevant regulations, making it an integral position in maintaining optimal parking systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of parking facilities, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Oversee parking staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate records of parking activity, including occupancy rates and financial transactions.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Implement and enforce parking regulations and fees, ensuring compliance with local laws.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with local businesses and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events that may impact parking operations.
  • Analyze parking data and provide reports to management for decision-making.

Requirements

  • Matric or equivalent; additional certification in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in parking management or a related administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Familiarity with parking management software and basic financial reporting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a role within parking or facility management.
  • Knowledge of local parking regulations and community needs.
  • Certification from a recognized parking association is an asset.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools for performance tracking.
