This position reports to the DC Outbound Manager.
Purpose of the role: The Inbound/Outbound Shift Manager has complete responsibility for Inbound/Outbound functional processes within the fulfillment centre, managing all aspects of stock handling from receipt from suppliers to filing the stock in inventory locations. This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with TAKEALOT explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven and fast-moving environment of E-commerce
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overall management and coordination of all warehousing functions
- Oversee Outbound/Inbound operations – manage entire the process within Outbound/Inbound during their shift.
- Responsible for efficiently managing all aspects of stock handling from receipt from suppliers.
- To dispatch to customers including the returns department
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly planning is done for all warehousing operations and
- manage adherence to plan.
- 5S Adherence & Safety compliance - Effective management of housekeeping and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Management of resource to be effective and efficient at lowest cost and according to changing needs
- Staff Management – Supervise department staff and
- Effective leadership and direction for the operation team through involvement.
- Cross-department co-ordination – communication with Dispatch, Inbound, Inventory and TES service teams to deliver on the relevant key business drivers.
- Manage customer liaison process and ensure that warehouse queries are resolved timeously.

- Ensure that warehouse space, equipment and warehouse flow is optimized and that future.

- Ensure stock accuracy through disciplined stock control and implement stock accuracy; Ensure reduced pack fails and Inbound Exceptions SOP are followed and all exceptions are collected on time with accuracy.

Qualification & Experience:
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary education.
- 5+ years' experience in directly and indirectly managing people to deliver continuous improvement
