Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements, may also apply. Registration With A Professional Council:
Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant, and proof of current registration.
Experience
Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ appropriate/ recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs):
Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Effective functioning within multi-disciplinary team. Effective utilisation of resources.
Inherent Requirements Of The Job:
Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and night duty as well as overtime when necessary. Ability to work under pressure. Willingness to rotate between Wards according to Operational needs.

Minimum Education Qualification:
Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
Requirements:
Ability to function / make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good communication and interpersonal relationships. Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape. Ability to accept accountability and responsibility.
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 181 230 - R 207 225 per annum, Grade 2: R 211 401 - R 239 922 per annum, Grade 3: R 249 141 - R 310 890 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
