Job description

We are looking for a professional, reliable, and friendly MALE (NON-SMOKER) to join our guesthouse team in Bellville as a Night Shift Host

Working Hours:

➢Monday to Friday: 17:00 – 07:00

(You will sleep on site to be on standby and to prepare breakfast the next morning until the day shift worker arrives, after which you may go home.)

➢Every second weekend: 16:00 – 07:00

(Weekends and overtime will be paid accordingly.)

Key Responsibilities:

▪Welcome guests and handle check-ins and check-outs

▪Serve drinks at the bar and assist with dinner service

▪Prepare and serve breakfast

▪Assist with light maintenance and general guesthouse duties

▪Set up dining areas daily for dinner and breakfast

▪Handle guest requests, compliments, and complaints professionally and efficiently

▪Ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and tranquil stay

Requirements:

▪Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

▪Own transport.

▪Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

▪Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - Afrikaans and English.

▪Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

▪Professional appearance and attitude

▪Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach

▪Basic computer skills

▪(Training will be provided on Semper, our booking system)

▪3 years Hospitality experience (Hotel or Guesthouse experience)

Salary:

Basic salary: R14,000 per month

Additional pay: Weekends and overtime
