Job description

Multi-Skilled Technician

Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of multiple technical systems within Insurance Claims, Retail, and Banking environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation, maintenance, and repair of:
Gate Motors
CCTV Camera Systems
Alarm Systems
Air Conditioning Systems
Electrical Installations and Maintenance
Fault finding and troubleshooting on all systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
Complete service reports and job cards accurately.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and call-outs when required.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and management.

Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience working in Insurance Claims, Retail, and Banking sectors (non-negotiable).
Strong knowledge of:
Gate Motor Systems
CCTV and Surveillance Systems
Intruder Alarm Systems
Air Conditioning Systems
Electrical Installations
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to travel when required.

Advantageous:

Trade Test or relevant technical qualifications.
Wireman's License.
Certifications in CCTV, Alarms, Air Conditioning, or Electrical Systems.
Experience with insurance-related assessments and repairs.
