Material Handler

Minimum Requirements:

· Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

· Basic computer literacy

· SAP experience or formal SAP training will be advantageous

· Ability to work with Microsoft Excel and other standard Microsoft Office applications

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work accurately with numerical and operational data

· Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Experience:

· Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, material handling environment

· Previous experience with SAP data capturing will be advantageous

· Reporting, data administration, or logistics coordination

Main Task and Responsibilities:

· Ensure the accurate capturing of returnable packaging on SAP and allocate them to the correct destinations

· Capture returnable empties on SAP and distribute packaging declarations to shipping companies and other relevant Logistics Service Providers (LSPs)

· Consolidate and distribute the weekly returnable empties report to the relevant Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and internal departments

· Provide export containers and returnable empties information to relevant stakeholders when required.

· Prepare and distribute Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) to relevant service providers

· Investigate ASN deviations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement appropriate corrective actions

· Create new returnable packaging/empties on SAP

· Assist with requesting and coordinating empty containers from shipping companies

· Provide SAP process training to new users and ensure adherence to the required returnable operations processes and procedures

· Identify and report discrepancies relating to returnable packaging, container movements, SAP transactions

· Provide administrative and operational support to the Returnable Operations team as required
