Job description

Every group has the organised friend.

The one who remembers the booking, notices the typo, follows up when everyone else forgets, and somehow always knows what's happening.

If you're quietly nodding along right now, keep reading.

We're looking for a Marketing Admin Assistant to join our team. This isn't a content creation or social media role. It's for someone who enjoys bringing order to busy environments, thrives on the details, and takes pride in making sure things happen when they're supposed to.

You'll play a key role in keeping our Marketing team organised and connected, helping campaigns, promotions and projects come together behind the scenes.

About MyRunway

MyRunway is one of South Africa's leading e-commerce retailers. We move quickly, solve problems, and aren't afraid to roll up our sleeves to get things done.

Our Marketing team sits at the centre of a fast-moving business, working closely with teams across Buying, Visual, Tech and Customer Experience to bring campaigns to life. Keeping all of those moving parts aligned takes someone who's organised, proactive and always one step ahead.

Job requirements

What a typical day might look like

You'll help keep our marketing team organised, connected and on track by:

  • Coordinating the day-to-day administration behind marketing campaigns.
  • Monitoring campaign schedules and helping ensure launches, promotions and marketing activity happen on time.
  • Scheduling and tracking marketing activity to keep projects moving and deadlines on track.
  • Coordinating with teams across the business to make sure information, assets and updates are shared with the right people at the right time.
  • Preparing spreadsheets, reports and other supporting documentation.
  • Keeping digital assets, folders and campaign information organised and up to date.
  • Following up on outstanding tasks and helping make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Supporting the team with planning, scheduling and day-to-day administration.

What we're looking for

We know great candidates don't always have the perfect CV. If you're organised, detail-oriented and excited by the role, we'd encourage you to apply.

You'll likely have:

  • A relevant degree, diploma or some practical experience in an administrative or business support role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a high standard of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A proactive attitude, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
  • Someone who takes ownership, asks questions and enjoys figuring things out.

The Hard Truth: Not For Everyone

The Details Make the Difference: This role isn't about the big creative ideas, it's about making sure every campaign comes together without the small things slipping through the cracks. If you get satisfaction from keeping everything organised and accurate, you'll thrive here.

Fast-Moving by Nature: Campaigns change, priorities shift and deadlines move. You'll need to stay organised while adapting quickly and helping the team keep momentum.

The Operational Backbone: Your biggest wins often happen behind the scenes. Keeping projects on track, coordinating across teams and making sure launches happen on time is what success looks like in this role.

Follow-Through Matters: Great ideas only create value when they're executed well. This role is about consistency, ownership and making sure the final 5% gets done, not just starting the exciting parts.

If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you.

MyRunway is committed to transformation and redressing past inequalities. Our Employment Equity goals will be taken into account during the selection process.
