Where will the successful candidate fit in?

As the Activations Specialist, you will manage and execute all activations across the business including sponsorships, events days and trade exchanges. The role requires and energetic and organised person who can manage and execute independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme and Project Management

  • Oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of all activations
  • Manage interns and team members for each activation and event
  • Includes management of branding, gifting, signage,
  • Manage the company event calendar, project plans, budgets, and partner commitments.
  • Manage event budgets and negotiate with suppliers

Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Working with different stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver successful events and activations
  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsorship properties
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely production and execution of activation brand items

Trade Exchanges

  • RSAWEB participates in numerous trade exchanges for marketing exposure
  • Manage and ensure trade exchange agreements are executed e.g. signage, newsletters, logos

Team Management

  • Ensure that events are adequately staffed and managed
  • Manage performance of event team on the day
  • Ensure team arrangements are timeously in place.

Reporting

  • Report back on event performance and feedback for improvement

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of delivering events and activations
  • Tertiary level qualification in Public Relations, Marketing or similar
  • Demonstrate proof of execution of events like golf days, customer experience, sports events
  • Previous experience in fast-paced, agile work environments.
  • Previous experience in a telecoms events/activations space will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer literacy skills
  • Driver's License is required and own vehicle

  • Energetic person who is passionate about events and activations and creating 7* experiences
  • When there are quieter periods, self-motivated to do planning and maintenance, step into other areas where help is needed
  • A team player who can build and leverage relationships within the business
  • Organised and focused on delivery excellence
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic project management skills and understanding of events industry
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office
