Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Sectional Lead manages preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while directly supervising plant activities, technical teams, and contractors.

Key Performance Areas

• Provide efficient plant operations support
• Implementing predictive and preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime
• Ensure cost effective maintenance practices
• Implement reliability and continuous improvement for enhanced operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards and regulations

Experience

• Grade 12 with Maths, Science and English
• NQF 4 Occupational Trade Qualification in Electrical and Mechanical
• Electromechanician would be advantageous
• Experience in an automotive environment would be advantageous
• 2 - 5 years’ experience electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience is essential
• PLC Knowledge
• Instrument and Control Knowledge
• Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform under pressure.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work under no supervision.
• Ability to work in a team and supervise more junior staff
• Strong fault finding skills
• Well-spoken and professional
• Manually dextrous, able to work with hands doing concentrated work in limited space
• Ability to climb and move around machinery
• Drivers Licence Code 8, Own transport
• Ability to work flexibly/after hours and on call at nights and weekends as required
• Please note: standby and call out duties after hours will be required
