Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities
All repairs and services to all trucks, cars & 8 (On the turn)
All Vehicle and hyster Quotations and bookings (services spares -on the turn)
Tracking of local and truck drivers (Daily)
Entering of times on trip sheets (Daily)
Filing of all relevant information to each correct file. (Daily)
Planning off daily errands (Daily)
Monitoring and updating of excel sheets (Daily)
Drivers Trip log sheets from start to finish. (Departure and arrival of trips)
Counts and records of all equipment spare keys locks and other relating tools regarding trucks cars hysters. (Weekly)
Tracking and recording of all staff personal km. (daily)
doubling checking of drivers’ times on excel trip sheet to drivers’ actual trip sheet against bandit times. (Daily)
Booking drivers accommodation and negotiating best rates. (Daily)
Monitoring and Tracking fleet card usage. (Daily)
Daily Inspections of trucks, hyster and cars.
Monitor Log sheets of drivers and up keeping of cash books and uplift books. (Departure and arrival of trips)
Dumping of waste (Weekly)
Mapping of all customer points
Keeping up to date with new suppliers for spares / New accommodation. (Daily)
Monitor & keeping all fines and fine listings up-to date. (Daily)
Ensuring all Relevant departments are made aware immediately of all information and details regarding what’s occurring
on a trip that has impact on their side (debtors / sales / reps) (daily)
Planning and plotting of all local deliveries (daily)
Assisting Customers and Reps with trip QUERIES relating to deliveries. (Daily)
Contacting and liaising with customers daily regarding their deliveries en-route
Assessing the situation of drivers and conductors used and to be used on trips as well as the truck they are to use. (Daily, done in advance of the next trip)
Planning the trip start time and trip amount needed for trips and providing procurement manager with amount needed for trip in advance. (Before a trip)
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric
Traceable working experience in Logistics
Qualification in Logistics Advantageous
Computer Literate
Good Communication skills
Attention to detail
Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
Work Location: In person
