Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Employment Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with the opportunity for permanent employment based on performance)
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month
About the Role
WE are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Technician to join our growing technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys working in different environments, and is eager to build a career in IT and satellite communications.
Our work is unique and includes providing IT infrastructure, networking, and satellite communication solutions to clients across the mining, maritime, and remote site industries. Full product and technical training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to clients and internal users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Assist senior technicians with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of IT and satellite communication equipment.
- Configure and maintain desktops, laptops, routers, Wi-Fi equipment, printers, and other IT hardware.
- Assist with basic network and server support.
- Record and update support tickets and job documentation.
- Deliver professional customer service while representing the company on-site.
Minimum Requirements
- A+, N+, Desktop Support qualification, or equivalent IT qualification.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Computer hardware and operating systems
- Networking and TCP/IP
- Routers, switches, and Wi-Fi
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Valid South African driver's licence (essential).
- Must be eligible to obtain a South African passport.
- Good health and sober habits.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa and internationally when required.
- Willingness to work weekends and after-hours when operational requirements demand.
