Henwil Chickens is looking for an individual to fill the position of a Blockman within the butchery environment. The individual should have knowledge of the meat preparation techniques and cuts as well as excellent customer service skills.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 will be an advantage.

Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.

Relevant experience in a retail environment.

Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Stock management and quality control.

Maintain Health and Safety Requirements

Maintain clean and tidy butchery areas & meat display fridge.

Ensure correct weight and pricing.

Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Manage and work towards sales targets.

Ensure optimal sales, marketing and customer service.

Assist with stock takes as required.

Carry out any reasonable instruction given by the manager or supervisor.
