Scale Shore Consulting supports businesses with recruitment, employer-of-record services, operational support and scalable team solutions.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Recruitment Administration Intern to support our recruitment function and help maintain accurate candidate and vacancy information in iRecruit, our internally developed recruitment CRM and workflow platform.
This role is suited to someone who wants practical exposure to recruitment administration, candidate management, screening support, workflow systems and business operations.
Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the recruitment team by maintaining accurate records, processing applications, updating candidate stages, assisting with screening and ensuring recruitment activity is properly tracked in iRecruit.
The intern will also help clear the current application backlog and support the development of Scale Shore’s internal candidate database.
Key responsibilities
- Review and organise incoming candidate applications.
- Create and maintain candidate profiles in iRecruit.
- Upload CVs and supporting documentation accurately.
- Update candidate stages, notes, interview outcomes and next actions.
- Support the recruitment team with screening administration.
- Assist with candidate follow-ups by email and telephone.
- Schedule interviews and maintain interview records.
- Track open vacancies and outstanding recruitment actions.
- Ensure candidate records are complete, current and stored correctly.
- Support the maintenance of Scale Shore’s internal candidate database.
- Assist with preparing basic recruitment reports and status updates.
- Escalate missing information, overdue actions or system issues.
- Identify workflow or usability issues and report them to the internal development team.
- Support general recruitment and operations administration where required.
- Handle candidate and company information confidentially and responsibly.
Minimum requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational and administrative ability.
- Comfortable using online systems and digital tools.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Able to follow defined processes and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working with CVs, candidate information and confidential records.
- Willing to learn recruitment systems and processes.
- Able to work independently while asking for clarification when required.
- Available to work from the Cape Town office as required.
Advantageous qualifications and experience
- A diploma, degree or current studies in:
- Human Resources;
- Business Administration;
- Industrial Psychology;
- Recruitment;
- Office Administration; or
- A related field.
- Previous internship, administration, HR or recruitment experience.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system, CRM or workflow platform.
- Experience handling candidate or customer information.
- Confidence making professional follow-up calls.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and willingness to learn.
Pay: R7 000,00 per month
