HVAC / Ducting / Fireplace Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a practical HVAC / Ducting / Maintenance Technician or trainee technician to join our fireplace, chimney, and cowl installation team.

This role is suitable for someone with experience in air conditioning, ducting, extraction cleaning, ventilation, HVAC assistance, roofing, maintenance, or general technical installation work. Experience with airflow, ducting, vents, fans, flues, or extraction systems will be useful.

The position involves chimney sweeping, fireplace maintenance, chimney cowl installation, flue inspections, and general site work at residential and commercial properties.

Duties will include:

• Chimney sweeping and fireplace maintenance
• Assisting with fireplace and flue inspections
• Installing and checking chimney cowls
• Working with airflow, draft, ventilation, and flue-related issues
• Working on roofs and ladders
• Cleaning soot, dust, and debris from fireplaces and flues
• Protecting furniture, floors, and customer property before work begins
• Using vacuums, rods, brushes, tools, drills, and sealants
• Taking photos and reporting job issues to management
• Assisting senior technicians and installers on site

Requirements:

• HVAC, ducting, extraction, aircon, ventilation, roofing, maintenance, or installation experience preferred
• Must be willing to learn chimney and fireplace maintenance
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be able to work neatly in customers’ homes
• Must be reliable, punctual, and physically fit
• Must have sober habits
• Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage
• Experience with tools, ladders, roofs, vents, flues, or ducting will be beneficial
