Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Administration and Coordination
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to office and store-based managers.
- Maintain and update employee records (appointments, terminations, changes, etc.).
- Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters and other HR documentation.
- Ensure all personnel files are complete, compliant and audit ready.
- Maintain and update employee records on Sage 300 People
2. Recruitment and Onboarding Support
- Coordinate the recruitment administration process for store and head office roles (posting vacancies, screening, scheduling interviews).
- Conduct pre-employment checks and prepare offer letters.
- Manage the onboarding and induction process for new employees across all regions.
3. Payroll and Leave Administration
- Collate and verify monthly payroll inputs from stores (new hires, resignations, leave, overtime, etc.).
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accuracy and timely submission of data.
- Assist with leave management, ensuring alignment with company policy and statutory requirements.
4. Employee Relations Support
- Provide administrative support for disciplinary hearings, grievances and investigations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and outcomes.
- Assist in compiling monthly HR reports.
5. HR Reporting and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, etc.).
- Support with Employment Equity, Skills Development and BBBEE reporting processes.
6. Communication and Remote Support
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from national stores.
- Maintain professional, service-oriented communication and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
7. Skills Development
- Assist in the coordination and administration of training, including internship, learnerships and skills programmes as well as other skills development initiatives.
8. Compensation and Benefits
· Process workman’s compensation claims
· Assist with death and disability
General HR Support
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Any other ad hoc HR related duties when required
