Job description
The FAIS Ombud office is located in the east of Pretoria, Gauteng and seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking HR Specialist - Organisation Development and Talent Management.
Job Purpose
To drive organisational development and talent management practices across the office by coordinating various strategic HR initiatives. This role will play a key part in enhancing organisational effectiveness and executing critical and strategic HR initiatives. The position reports to the Head of Human Resources.
Key Performance Areas:

Driving organisation-wide growth by supporting talent management, succession planning, and employee retention.

Providing organisational development and change management support.

Advise management and staff on performance management processes and development matters.

Participate in developing and reviewing the HR Policies and Procedures.

Provide support on crafting and reviewing job profiles and job specifications.

Prepare HR project reports for approval by the Head of HR.

Coordinate the implementation of audit recommendations.

Support the implementation of benchmark initiatives.

Taking the lead and working with other HR staff in the completion of assigned projects, e.g., organisational development and change management-related initiatives.

Participate in the execution of the People strategy.

Support the change portfolio, which allows the Office to prepare for and successfully adopt the change.

Lead the change management activities within a structured process framework.

Evaluate the change impact and organisational readiness to limit potential risks.

Support training and communication as part of change management.

Evaluate the risk of change and provide actionable recommendations on managing its impact.

Evaluate resistance in adopting the change at the user, process, and technology level, where applicable.

Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the decisions and performance related to the change request.

Support talent management initiatives across the Office as directed by the Head of HR.

Perform general administration and project-related functions as directed by the Head of HR.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF-7) in Human Resource Management or a related field.

More than 5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management, with exposure to organisational development, talent management, change management, and employee engagement.

Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SABPP, IPM, ACMP) and knowledge of HR systems will be an added advantage.

Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management skills, organisational development, and change management skills.

A solid understanding of HR procedures, processes, and prescripts.

Knowledge of SA Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA, SDA, EEA, etc.).

Knowledge of people standards is preferred.

Must be competent in using MS Office Suite and other digital tools to manage HR Processes.
Other Key Competencies:
The candidate must demonstrate the following skills: People management, presentation skills, change management skills, talent management skills, facilitation skills, problem-solving, interpersonal, ability to build strategic stakeholder relations, conflict management skills, in-depth knowledge of the Human Resource value chain, the ability to perform consistently under pressure, and be team-oriented.
