Join a Growing Property Management Business
Pro Admin is a leading property management company with a growing national footprint. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organised HR and Payroll Manager to take ownership of our human resources administration, payroll function, training coordination, labour relations support, and statutory compliance requirements.
This is a hands-on role suited to a professional who enjoys balancing people management, compliance, payroll accuracy, and employee development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR and payroll functions of the business, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, payroll regulations, Employment Equity requirements, Skills Development legislation, and Department of Employment and Labour obligations.
You will work closely with management to support the company's people strategy while ensuring payroll and compliance processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process monthly payroll accurately and timeously.
- Manage payroll records and employee remuneration information.
- Administer leave, allowances, overtime, incentives, deductions, provident fund contributions, and employee benefits.
- Manage PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201, EMP501, and IRP5 processes.
- Ensure payroll compliance and resolve employee payroll queries.
Human Resources Administration
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee exits.
- Maintain personnel records and employment documentation.
- Coordinate probation and performance review processes.
- Maintain HR policies and procedures.
Labour Relations
- Assist managers with disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Provide guidance on labour legislation and company policies.
- Prepare disciplinary documentation and hearing packs.
- Support labour-related compliance requirements.
Training and Skills Development
- Coordinate employee training initiatives.
- Conduct training needs analyses.
- Manage training records and training budgets.
- Liaise with training providers.
- Compile and submit Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR).
Employment Equity and Compliance
- Coordinate Employment Equity processes and committee meetings.
- Prepare and submit Employment Equity reports.
- Liaise with SETAs and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Employment and Labour requirements.
Reporting and Budgeting
- Prepare monthly HR reports and management information.
- Monitor HR and training budgets.
- Report on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, training activities, and compliance matters.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Development, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Human Resources and Payroll environment.
- Proven experience processing payroll from start to finish.
- Experience with Employment Equity reporting and compliance.
- Experience with WSP and ATR submissions.
- Experience coordinating training and development initiatives.
- Experience handling disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Strong understanding of South African labour legislation.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong working knowledge of:
- PAYE
- UIF
- SDL
- EMP201 submissions
- EMP501 reconciliations
- IRP5 generation and reconciliation
- Employment Equity legislation
- Workplace Skills Plans (WSP)
- Annual Training Reports (ATR)
- Labour Relations Act (LRA)
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- Payroll systems and HR administration
