Hotel Training Manager

A well-known and established Hotel Group in KwaZulu-Natal is looking for an experienced Hotel Training Manager to drive training, development and service excellence across its various hotel properties.

Based: Durban
Travel: Regular travel to hotel properties across KZN
Industry: Hospitality / Hotels

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver training programmes across the hotel group
• Conduct training needs analyses across the various properties
• Facilitate operational and service excellence training
• Deliver training across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guest Services and general hotel operations
• Coordinate induction and onboarding programmes
• Develop training materials, manuals and assessments
• Coach and support supervisors, managers and departmental trainers
• Identify service and performance gaps and implement targeted training interventions
• Monitor training effectiveness and maintain training records and reports
• Work closely with Hotel General Managers, Department Heads and HR to ensure consistent standards across the Group

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Hospitality, HR, Training & Development or related qualification
• Previous hotel industry experience in a Training / Learning & Development role is ESSENTIAL
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and hospitality service standards
• Proven training facilitation and presentation experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and administrative ability
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
• Willingness to travel regularly between hotel properties in KZN

IMPORTANT: This is a specialist hospitality training position. Candidates must have previous experience delivering training within the hotel industry to be considered.
