DRIVER (MONTAGUE GARDENS)

Join our team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE)(RF) (PTY) LTD, a leading automotive wholesaler. We are seeking a

reliable Driver for our MONTAGUE GARDENS Branch. You will be responsible for the safe, timely delivery and

collection of goods and for supporting warehouse operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver customer orders using company vehicles, ensuring goods arrive on time, complete, and undamaged.
• Carry out branch collections, verifying quantities and condition against paperwork.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately (delivery notes, proof of delivery, invoices) and obtain customer

signatures for every delivery and collection.

• Keep company vehicles clean and roadworthy, complete daily vehicle checks, and report defects, damage, or

incidents immediately.

• Pick stock accurately per picking slips/order specifications and pack items securely for dispatch or collection.
• Check picked and received items for damage, defects, and quantity variances, and report issues immediately.
• Work as part of the warehouse team to meet daily throughput targets and customer service requirements.
• Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely, following company procedures and health and safety standards.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards (clean aisles, correct stacking, and tidy work areas) to prevent damage and improve efficiency.
• Perform other duties as required by the Branch Manager.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 08 (B) with a clean driving record.
• Driving and delivery experience, preferably in automotive parts or wholesale, with good knowledge of the local area and routes.
• Physically fit - able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative.
• Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Good verbal communication and a professional manner.
• Reliable, able to follow instructions accurately and apply sound judgement.
• Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities.
• Basic numeracy skills (accurate counting, stock reconciliation).

Pay: R41,48 per hour
