It operates a chicken abattoir in Reitz and feed mills in Vrede and Bethlehem.
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
The Financial Manager will be the head of finance in the Poultry Group and exists to achieve the company’s financial objectives. The Financial Manager will be responsible for all aspects of fiscal management. Emphasis will be on Grain Field Chickens, as QPro Feeds have a financial manager. The financial manager of QPro Feeds will also report to this advertised position. In this role, the incumbent will be expected to utilize their expertise in financial analysis and strategic planning, play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial plans that support the company’s growth and profitability, whilst monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
The ideal candidate is a strong experienced financial professional in the FMCG / Manufacturing / Retail environment that is comfortable dealing with matters on EXCO- and Board Level of a Large Company.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant experience in Manufacturing / Processing / FMCG.
- Relevant Accounting background and with completed articles (SAICA / SAIPA).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, CIMA or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the milling or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Beneficial Experience (Not required)
- Exposure in raw material management and procurement sectors: SAFEX / Commodities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, including divisional ownership of respective budgets.
- Reporting of company performance and focus areas to management and EXCO.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability. Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Lead and mentor the finance and administration team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Risk Management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- New system design and implementation.
- Oversight of the financial systems (ERP).
- Business Projects, Audits (Internal and External).
- Strategic direction through analysis of financial statements.
