Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Plant Costing & Administration Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Finance and Operations departments through accurate cost allocation, plant costing, financial reporting, workshop administration, and compliance monitoring. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process and allocate procurement and workshop-related costs to the correct plant and site cost centres.
  • Monitor and review actual plant costs against budget, identifying and reporting variances.
  • Prepare and maintain plant costing, revenue, and financial performance reports.
  • Provide comprehensive plant administration support, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Conduct audits of inspection reports and ensure compliance with company procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain an efficient filing and document management system for workshop and finance records.
  • Assist with financial reporting, data analysis, and administrative functions within the workshop department.
  • Support the Finance and Operations teams with general administrative and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial and operational information.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and support effective financial control processes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education:

  • Relevant accounting/finance studies are advantageous.

Experience:

  • Experience with Pastel is advantageous
  • At least 2 years experience as Finance administrator is advantageous
