VACANCY: Finance Administrator

Location: Northern and Tygerberg Sub-districts: (Wallacedene/Bloekombos/Kraaifontein/Bishop Lavis)

Employment Type: Contract Position with the possibility to renew annually based on funding availability
Closing Date: 19 August 2026

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to strengthen our financial management systems and support the organisation's growth and sustainability.

Purpose of the position: The Finance Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the organisation, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with donor and statutory requirements, timely reporting, and effective financial controls.

Reporting line: Successful candidate will report to the director.

Key responsibilities:

· Financial Administration

· Daily financial transactions are accurately processed and recorded.

  • Financial records are maintained in an organised and up-to-date manner.
  • Expenditure is monitored against budgets and funding allocations.
  • Supporting documentation is properly filed and readily available for audits and funder reviews.
  • Financial reports are prepared timeously and accurately.
  • The organisation remains compliant with all financial policies, procedures, and funder requirements.

Reporting and Budget Monitoring: Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.

· Monitor project and donor budgets.

· Prepare financial reports for management, funders, and the Board.

· Support budget development and financial forecasting.

Compliance and audit support: Ensure compliance with NPO, SARS, and other statutory requirements.Assist with annual audits and financial reviews.

Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processing.Manage leave records and payroll documentation.

Financial Controls

  • Support implementation of internal financial controls.
  • Identify and report financial risks or discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational financial policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Finance, Post-matric Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field.

· At least 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organisational and time-management skills.

· Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

· Preferred Experience: Experience with donor-funded projects, donor grant management, budget monitoring, and preparation of funder reports is highly desirable. Familiarity with SARS, UIF, PAYE, and statutory compliance requirements. Experience supporting annual audits.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00-16h30 (40 hours per week)

Remuneration: Market related and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
